I noticed Ed doing this to Roy a while back, but I thought nothing of it because Ed and Roy are always playfighting, and I chalked it up to that. But then they did it again last night after I was babying Roy and giving him special one on one time since hes got a URI now and I feel bad for him. I put Roy back in the cage, and almost immediately -- Ed started chasing him around, all around the lower level, jumping on him, tackling him over, etc.

Roy eventually got sick of him and went to the upper shelf. When he came back down, Ed was on him almost immediately again(and completely ignoring Alphonse, who only wanted my attention). But after a couple minutes, Ed started... biting Roys teeth?

It started on the ground, he'd grab Roy and bite his mouth at his teeth. Then things escalated and they started getting into 'boxing' poses and doing it. All the while, Roy would yell and scream now and then like he was trying to tell Edward to ... well, bugger off.

They stopped as soon as I distracted them and opened the cage door, but it was strange.

Has anyone ever seen this before? What the heck is Ed doing? I'm getting worried, because he's 9 months old. I don't want this to rise to aggression.

Yep... it's a boy thing they do. It's a "piss off" move. But it can result in some injury. Not sure how to stop it though, once they settle who's who that usually stops.
