So, one of my girls, Venice, does this really weird thing. She'll charge at my hands and chomp down and draw blood. Hard enough to make me cry out, and she'll pretty much decide to hide, then come out and take another bite. Then she'll just stare at me for a while when she's done her attacking, and come over and start sucking up and licking my hands, like she changed her mind about how she was feeling and is sorry for what she did.

I'm not sure what it means, or if she's just weird, lol. What I'm worried about is that maybe she's not feeling well and doesn't want hands anywhere near her? What do you think? =/

I've known plenty of rat to do that. I don't know if they are testing you or just being plain naughty but those rats, I tend to change my way of dealing with them. I do not allow them to come to me charging, I never put my hand in their cage, I make sure I'm in a position where chomping on me could never happen. It's just a matter of dealing with them differently. Some rats snap out of it while others continue to enjoy their shared space with me with limited physical interactions.

Ah ok, Well I guess you could try saying ''No!'' loud out, so she gets a negative reaction on negative behavior.
It worked for my ''run-away'' rat. She always ran through the whole house, and since we dont want to find her
death cuz she chew on something with hig voltage, we tried to say ''no'' all the time she tried again,
now she wont do it for a long time, and try it again once in a while, but i only have to say ''No'' once.

I'll be giving that one a try :) would be so nice to not have to run around after my rats. Just say "no!!" and they stop doing dangerous silly stuff haha.
