The vet who did Bill's neuter had never done one before, but has been expanding his rat surgery repertoire. He did a wonderful job on Tia's eye removal, which was a very delicate and potentially risky operation, and he learned how to do rat spays from the other surgeon at the clinic, so I was confident that he'd do fine with Bill. And he did.
Bill is so wiggly that I was not able to get a proper photo, but here he is on the day after his surgery. You can see one of the incisions, which is tidy and not at all inflamed.
Bill removed his own stitches by day three! Later tonight I hope to post a photo of him now, at day 7.
