Bella has been eating with her paws very close to the ground for the past couple of weeks, but she never rests ..just very low ..her balance is not off, and her weight has not changed, but she has been sleeping a little more. I am unsure of her age, she has been with me for 19 months, and I estimate her being 4 - 5 months when I got her ..which would make her aprox 23 - 24 months.

:panic:

Oh I will, I think I have given her so many cheerios that she don't want anymore ..lol ..she passes the test ..but again with they very low placement of her paws.

I do have pred, baytril and cabergoline here ..but I need more symptoms to be sure.

Keep your fingers crossed that it's not PT ..seems like newfoundland female rats are prone to PT ..all of my girls so far have gone that way :(

How is her back end? When Dominic (RIP) started having balance issues due to his HED he showed a lot of classic "neuro" symptoms as adaptations: eating with 1 paw, eating with front paws resting on the ground, etc as he found new ways to adjust himself without the support of his rear legs.

Yes, she can still eat lab blocks, her balance is fine, she holds food with 2 pawas ..no resting ..just eating with paws really close to the ground.

Actually all unspayed females have a high risk of developping PTs.

Hannah was spayed, but SOphie and Momma were not.

I'm sticking with males from now on, but if I do decide on females again I will spay them for sure.

I don't know what Eve's history is, she was just left at the pet store in a cage ..owners never wanted her ..she is over 2 I would assume ..bella bug and chloe may have spays down the road.
