Baytril Burn

Firstly hi, new member here =)

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice, my rat just had an abscess lanced but seems to have had a paticularly adverse reaction to the baytril injection, it looks pretty nasty and he keeps scratching at it.
Since he's already had one abscess i'm worried he could get another by scratching at this burn, so is there anything i could put on it to sooth it or some way to prevent him scratching at it all the time.

Baytril can burn at the injection site. It should be just fine though.

If he will not leave it alone, you can see if the vet will give you pain meds for him ... usually metacam.
Baytril is given orally because otherwise, it does burn.
