Well, I brought Baxter down to be neutered yesterday and the vet was fantastic as usual. He got through it all without a hitch and was very alert and eating a grape (supplied by the vet's young daughter who decided that "Mr. Ratty Rat" needed a treat after his surgery lol).
Percy needs to be on atbs for a resp issue so when I dropped Baxter off I asked if I needed to bring him in so that she could prescribe something. She said not to bring him in (the trip is an hour one way and would be stressful) and she would do up some atbs that I could take home with me for him.
Not only did she give me the pills instead of a mixture so I could make it up myself, she gave me doxy/baytril combo without me asking at enough for a 20 day supply (10mg of Baytril and 5mg of Doxy per day) for Percy AND she slipped another 20 day supply to me in case one of my boys needs it in the future so I don't have to run all the way down there
This morning Baxter was looking like he hadn't even been to the vets (hopping around his cage and looking for treats) and everyone was calm. Percy will be leaving tomorrow to go to his new home (he's got a forever home finally) and the Quinn/Baxter intros will start in a week or two...then the move to the FN double
