Baby Storm and her mama Easter are scheduled for spays tomorrow.

Little Storm and her 4 brothers will be 8 weeks old tomorrow.

Edit: has to be done as Storm's daddy and 4 brothers are not yet neutered.

Still waiting to hear .... baby Storm is 8 weeks old today

Easter and little Storm are doing ok.
Storm removed all of her stiches during the ride so we had a return trip to the vet.

Neither Easter nor Storm are feeling that great.
Easter is doing owie streches so i am going to give her a bit of codine as both girls were given a medicam injection by the vet after surgery

How... how do rats take their stitches out? Do they bite through them, or do they just... pull?
I hope they feel better soon.

Not sure, they just chew the stitches.

All stiches are still in and both girls are doing well

Yesterday Storm removed one of her stiches, the wound was gaping open & ozing blood, the area looked swollen, red & irritated.
When I went to get her for a trip to the vet, it had closed and was no longer ozing so I decided not to disturb the area and to wait and see.
This morning when I checked, the little monkey had removed her remaining stiches. Fortunately the incusion is closed and now that the stiches are gone, maybe Storm will leave it alone and allow it to heal. Easter removed one or two stiches as well.
Both girls are doing well and are very active.
