Anything other than mites cause scabs?

My BIG girl C-C has scabs on her side...mostly on right side but a few on left too...she doesn't seem too crazy itchy...but she is sooo fat I am not sure she can reach all itchy spots anyway...I checked over all other 8 rats and no one else has scabby spots.
she had a good gash on her shoulder a few weeks ago I think from Zoey...Zoey is a bit of a jerk sometimes. the scabs are on the same side as the gash was...it did look like someone bite her good...not some scratching...but maybe I don't know.
So is there anything other than mites that could cause these little scabby patches?
I am going to make an appt for vet next week, but wondering what else?

Could she have bumblefoot or something else wrong on her left foot? Cloud had bumblefoot on her left foot and couldn't clean with it so she compensated by grooming her right side way to much, to the point she had scabs all over it.

Have they ever been treated for mites? If no, I'd do a treatment just in case.

Feeding high amounts of protein can cause skin irritations. Have they been getting alot of special treats lately?

No to mite treatment I figured the vet will do this when I get in...and no to treats...their treats have been baby rice crisps or graham crackers and yogurt sometimes...they eat extrusion blocks mainly and lots of veggies and some fruits and occassionally I will mix up some oats, barley, sphelt, rye, kamut and puffed brown rice for a day to go with the blocks.
She is sort of on a diet she is so fat (730+grams)...but hard to limit her and not everyone else, she loves veggies.
we have only had her for about 4-5weeks so I think mite treatment for everyone and watch her for more scabby areas...I am going to cover the ladders too cause her back feet do look a bit differnt then the others, not open sores but maybe a bit swollen...

Start with a proper mite treatment of Revolution or ivermectin. If that doesn't work, there's also allergies and pyoderma.

I will try to get pic...and I will ask vet for mite treatment anyway...shouldn't hurt to treat everyone anyway should it?

If it's mites you'll need to treat everyone anyways I just found lice on one of my girls tonight, so EVERYONE is getting treated tomorrow. Whee should be fun. *rolls eyes*
