My boys are all on antibiotics right now. I'm terribly paranoid about the dosages, my vet has screwed up before and since then I like to double check. Only problem now is that I suck at math.

Maz & Morrissey - each weigh about 450g
Max & Obie - each weigh about 570g
(I wish I knew the exact numbers, but off the top of my head I can't recall and I neglected to write it down before leaving the house this a.m., sorry, I just know the little boys were 450-something, and the big kids were 570-something)

Doxy - 20mg/ml
all rats gets .15cc BID

Enro - 20mg/ml
Maz & Morrissey - .25cc BID
Max & Obie - .30cc BID

I hope I provided enough info. Any help would be very much appreciated. I know I need to learn how to do this myself, and believe me I've tried, but there's no way in heck I'm gambling my boys' health on my lousy math skills.

Doxy (using 5mg/kg)
-Maz and Morrissey should get 0.11cc BID
-Max and Obie should get 0.14cc BID

Baytril/enro (10mg/kg)
-Maz and Morrissey should get 0.23cc BID
-Max and Obie should get 0.29cc BID

So there's nothing wrong with the doses your vet gave you as long as your vet was aiming to dose at the levels I provided.

Sweet! Thanks. It just threw me off a bit because usually the meds we get are at a different concentration, but usually that's just for one rat. Is there some purpose to changing the concentration? I wondered if it was because this time it was a huge bucket 'o meds for all 4 boys instead of just one. Thanks for checking, I get paranoid about underdosing them or something.
