I know many people on here don't use dryer sheets due to the fragrances used in them so I thought I'd share..
I just discovered (through the internet) an alternative to dryer sheets - a ball of aluminum foil!
They say to roll it to the size of a baseball. Lasts about 6-10 loads (or more), depending on your dryer and what not.

ALSO, as a fabric softener, white vinegar (in your wash load, of course) is another natural alternative

I totally read that as saying to the size of a basketball, LOL

"But how will I get any laundry in there? Seems like a LOT of tinfoil!"

Wait i'm confused... you just make a ball, and throw it in with your laundry right?
Are you being silly moon? am I going to look silly now.

Great tip - thanks.

Yes, you make it into a ball and throw it in.. but it's about the size of a baseball, not basketball.
Moon just misread :)

Ooooh great tip, I'm gonna try both.

Glad I was able to help :)

As for the vinegar being a natural fabric softener.. it also does clean & disinfect somewhat :)
I've used a homemade detergent for my rat laundry for the past year and have found it to get the job done.
You're more then welcome to try it out:
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/16 cup mild dish soap (like dawn)
1/16 cup lemon juice
then use about 1/4 cup of the mixture per load and seperately add in
1/8 cup hydrogen peroxide
& if I have it on hand 1/16 cup baking soda
