During playtime tonight, I noticed that Ferris had a small lump next to his man-bits. I thought, easy-peasy, its just another abscess. So I gave him a bit of baytril and popped him in a warm salt-water bath. As I was drying him off, I started prodding the lump trying to find the scab. I couldn't find it, but I noticed the lump was extremely close to his weenie - its just off to the left-hand side.

Don't know what possessed me to do this, but I started doing the "remove penis plug maneuver" ... and crap, some lovely gunk came out from the area around his weenie - I'm not entirely sure if it came from it. In any case, his manhood looks a bit inflamed.

Should I continue with the salt-water baths and baytril, or is this a more serious matter?

Poor, little, guy. :(

Its a good thing that mom is so observant and knew how to do the "remove penis plug maneuver."

With that being said.... I'm extremely happy that it was my decision... and my decision alone, to open a thread with a title such as "Abscess (?) next to weenie..." before

a) getting breakfast and
b) putting away a container of tahini sauce which I was planning to put in the office fridge.

If THAT stuff doesn't make you think of penis plug gunk then I don't know what would. :sick2:

So I have successfully killed any desire I might have had to go down and get a bagel... bad for the psyche but GREAT for the waistline! :bunnydance:

The inflammation probably was from the plug.
I thought plugs were supposed to be more ... cheesy solid-ish? The gunk that came out was a lot more liquidy and pale milky yellow in color. My nose was completely plugged last night so I didn't get a good whiff of it. I wasn't sure if it was a plug, or somehow from the abscess ...

:giggle: And sorry jennifervb!

The guy upstairs was obviously looking out for you, Rhapsody, if your nose was plugged last night. Not getting a "good whiff of it" was probably better for your digestive tract than you may know... :cheeky: :laugh4:
