What cages would you recommend for a first time rat owner with two rats? I’m not sure which one would be best, so I thought it’d be good to ask someone here :).
Also, do you happen to have any spare cages that you’re not using? If not, that’s perfectly fine, just thought I’d ask that as well 😅
I don’t know what to put in my rats’ cage! I had a smaller cage (still large enough) that I was able to fill pretty well. But recently I got a larger cage, and I don’t know what to put in it. The levels are filled, so I don’t really need anything that sits on the ground, I just need things to...
I have limited space width wise for my rat cage so it’s been hard finding a good fit. In a perfect world I would buy a critter nation but that’s just not going to work for now. I’m getting two females and I will make sure they have plenty of free play every day, but I’m still worried about how...
Hi,
So I rescued two female rats to go with my lone female rat and I think one of them may have gone blind in one eye. She had two dark ruby eyes when I got her but suddenly one of her eyes has gone grey. I have included some photos below - does this need vetinary attention? She doesn’t seem to...
Since I got rats, a lot of my friends have fallen in love with rats (which is great in my opinion). I usually hear the "Aww, I want a rat too" sort of deal and I've educated them on how rats need to be in same-*** pairs, they need lots of space to run, lots of time with you and for free time...
I am getting my first pair of rats soon and I had bought a pretty decent size bird cage, but the woman I am adopting them from is also selling me a large cage fairly cheap. Rather than throw away the bird cage, I was thinking of combining the two horizontally with a tube. Anyone have any...

Hi - I have also written another thread about my single female rat which I adopted a couple of days ago but after reading a comment, I need help on what’s the best thing to do for her.
She came into the centre due to neglect as her owner had never taken her out of her cage and she has been...
So I think im adopting 3 boys in late spring/early summer, but I'm torn on the bedding choice. I'm getting a single or double critter nation cage and I think fleece is my best option for those cages. I do have a few questions for those of you who use fleece as bedding for your ratties.
1. How...

So I really need some help or advice with these two girls because I've never had a problem with my previous four rats that I've had in the past.
I have had to buy 3 different cage bottoms for the bottom of my girls' cage because they will not stop chewing the corners of the cage wide open. One...

hi everyone! My female rat is pregnant (feel free to check out my other thread about it!) and she should be giving birth any day now. When she does I’m planning on keeping a couple of the female kittens as roommates for her as we will be seperating her from her brothers to stop more litters and...
