homemade mix for dehydration?

i was on the phone with http://www.rideauwildlife.org/CareWildlife.html Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and i was asking if the mouse became dehydrated what i do and she was talking to me about a homemade mix that is hot water,salt and sugar but forget the name she said it was. would anyone happen to know what she was talking about?

Here's one from goosemoose

Homemade rehydrating formula: 10 oz warm water, 1 tsp sugar, 1/3 tsp salt. Mix well, refrigerate extra, warm up to feed.

sorry i forgot to ask about this how long is it good for? is it the same as Pedialyte? 24hours.
