No he was the only one at the store, so we are actively looking for a buddy from a beeder. Sven is very eager to come out and play, not skittish at all. When he gets excited checking things out he sneezes. When he is in his cage at rest or eating, no sneezing. Just when he starts sniffing the air to check things out. If something more serious were incubating, when would we see other symptoms? The vet does not want to see him because he is not showing other signs of illness.
Thanks for your help

Does your little guy have cage buddies? That will help him feel more secure and strengthen his health as well. Changing bedding is a good idea. Also, it's very good news that he has no other symptoms.

We've had our rat over a week and he is still sneezing somewhat. It has gotten better, but he is still sneezing. Does not have a runny or red nose, eyes are clear, breathing is normal. We are going to change his bedding today, to see if that helps. He is very active and interested in his surroundings. He also has a good appetite and is drinking.
Is there anything else we can do?
